This is why it is very important that we all have the opportunity of analyzing such features and specifications presented by various models of cars because in this way we will all be able to realize which model might be more appropriate for us to drive as well and which one s might not be appropriate for us to consider due to certain features that might be presented by it or due to the lack of certain features. Audi cars have also been appreciated by some car fans as some of the specifications presented by some models of this type of cars have been considered as pretty interesting and useful ones to be taken into account. | Audi A7 coming to Paris, V10-powered RS7 possible Posted: 06 May 2010 01:26 AM PDT  Audi is preparing its next big thing, the A7 four-door coupe, for its official launch at the Paris Motor Show, this September, according to many voices. As you know by now, the car, based on the A7 Sportback concept, will contend in this new segment with the likes of the next generation Mercedes-Benz CLS, also scheduled to appear in Paris, or the production variant of the BMW Gran Coupe concept we saw a few weeks ago. Now, the guys at Autocar have dug up a fresh new rumor about the new Ingolstadt model: a high performance RS7 is planned and might sport the naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter V10, currently found on the R8 or Lamborghini Gallardo. We already knew a performance S7 would appear, but an RS7 might blow it out of the water. According to the British magazine, the engine will be mated to a dual-clutch gearbox, and will output somewhere around 580 HP, even more than the newly revealed R8 GT limited edition. The RS7 is set to be at the top of the A7 range, which will use a variety of V6 or V8 engines, both gasoline and diesel ones, depending on the market demands. | Toyota has fixed over 3.2 million recalled models, 4.6 million left Posted: 06 May 2010 01:08 AM PDT  Seeing as how Toyota desperately needs to score some more points in the eyes of the public, especially after it has been overtaken by BMW in terms of brand value, the company released a new statement, regarding the repairs on the many recalled vehicles from the start of the year. It seems that Toyota dealerships were extremely busy and managed, since the recall was made official, to fix over 3.2 million vehicles. The breakdown is as follows: • 1.6 million to address the potential for sticking accelerator pedals, Still, the Japanese company has a lot of work ahead, as an estimated 4.6 million vehicles are still in dire need of repairs so that they don’t endanger the life of its drivers, passengers and fellow road users. | Mazda RX-8 also preparing to exit from US market Posted: 06 May 2010 12:46 AM PDT  Last month, we reported on the fact that Mazda was preparing to pull back the RX-8 from the European market, due to its rotary engine not meeting Euro 5 emissions regulations. Now, a new rumor has started, concerning the exit of the RX-8 from the US market. It seems that even though the Wankel engine still meets US regulations, the low sales and high shipping costs will force Mazda to yank the only remaining rotary-powered sportscar off the North American market. While it isn’t official just yet, all of the logical arguments support the exit of the RX-8. As you remember, a new generation RX-7 is currently in development, but it will arrive much later, around 2013, with a new and improved rotary engine. | 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic auctioned off for a record $30+ million Posted: 06 May 2010 12:15 AM PDT  Evey car owner usually believes his ride is the most expensive one on Earth, given the emotional connection, but it seems no car will be able to contend with this 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic model, which has just been auctioned off for an undisclosed amount, ranging from $30 to $40 million. Why the extremely steep price? Well, only four such models were made, and just two are known to exist today. This specific Bugatti 57SC belonged to the late Dr. Peter Williamson. After his death, California auction house Gooding & Company, together with his estate, decided to sell his vast Bugatti collection. The 57SC Atlantic was the crown jewel of the bunch, and, as you can see, confirmed its status, fetching over $30 million in the auction and becoming the most expensive car on the road today. While no official details are known, rumors peg that the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, California, acquired the iconic Bugatti, so we might get to see it on exhibit in the future.
