Funny thing about the topless drifting video

Posted: 29 Sep 2010 06:26 AM PDT

A few hours ago we published the topless drifting video and Nick, one of our readers, pointed out a very funny thing. If you look at the YouTube address for the video, you can clearly see what’s it about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uu1Ao8Bo0bs.

Makes you think YouTube has found some new way of knowing what the videos are about :) And in case you missed it, here’s the video again. Enjoy!

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Concept leaked?

Posted: 29 Sep 2010 05:54 AM PDT

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Concept

Lamborghini did its best to keep its Paris debut a big secret, but we all know it’s more likely that aliens land at the White House than car makers managing to keep details about a car secret. After releasing a set of teaser photos with a new concept which is scheduled to debut in a couple of days, at the Paris Motor Show, Lamborghini couldn’t keep the secret anymore, because a low-resolution image of the car showed up on French blog blogautomobile.fr.

According to the image, the concept will be called Sesto Elemento, which is Italian for “sixth element”. If we look into the periodic table, that’s carbon, so you might get a clue what this car about. And that is weight. Stephen Winkelmann, Lambo’s CEO, said that, since mid ’80s, due to additive regulations, the average weight of Lamborghini cars grew by 1,100 pounds (500 kg). And considering they can’t sacrifice safety and performance, the only way to make better cars is to lose weight.

Winkelmann also mentioned that all the changes Lamborghini will make to future cars will be about improving handling and acceleration, because the company sees no point in focusing on top speed anymore. And that’s true, because most supercars’ performances are so high regular people can’t reach them on a racetrack, let alone normal roads.

As for the Sesto Elemento (or Sixth Element), there are no details available, except that it might weight around 2,200 lbs (1000 kg) and, judging by this photo, will probably be powered by a V10 engine. But we’ll find out soon, because there so little time left until Lamborghini will release full details about the concept (considering the leaked photo, it might be even sooner).

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Concept

The doors still haven't quite opened up at the Paris Motor Show and already the leakage has begun in full force. Yesterday we got a sneak peek at the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Concept, but the lone photo was small and grainy. Thankfully, the wait for real images is now over mere minutes before the car is officially unveiled at an evening event held by the Volkswagen Group in Paris as we speak. A total of five shots of the carbon-intensive supercar have just hit the interwebs, and they didn't come from Lamborghini.

To put it mildly, we like what we see. As could be seen in the series of teasers officially let loose by the boys from Lamborghini, every single bit of the car has been fashioned from carbon fiber. Suitable, then, that the car has been named after the sixth element of the periodic table – Sesto Elemento literally means sixth element in Italian. Even the tailpipes have been fashioned from a sort of composite called Pyrosic that is able to withstand extremely high temperatures.

Those high exhaust temperatures will be exhaled by a V10 engine that's putting out a stonkin' 570 horsepower. With just 2,200 pounds of weight to move, the run to 60 will take less than 2.5 seconds.

2011 Volkswagen Touareg Models Announced

2011 VW Touareg TDI

In the market for a mid-size SUV / Crossover vehicle? Can you hold out just a little while longer? If you can, then you may want to give VW’s second generation Touareg SUV a drive when it hits dealer showrooms later this fall. For diesel fans, this is very good news since the Touareg will be back with a TDI clean diesel variant. Unfortunately, the V10 turbodiesel and it’s stump pulling 553 ft lb of torque won’t be used in second generation, but there’s still enough grunt in the new oil burner to keep torque fans happy.

2011 VW Touareg TDI

The 2011 Touareg will be offered with three motor options, beginning with a 3.6 liter V6 (280 horsepower, 265 ft lb of torque) that gets 23 mpg highway and 19 mpg city. A new hybrid version, available next spring, gives you a supercharged 3.0 liter V6 coupled with an electric motor that yields a combined 380 horsepower and 428 ft lb of torque, while returning an estimated 25 mpg highway. Finally, the aforementioned 3.0 liter turbodiesel will get you 225 horsepower and an impressive 406 ft lb of torque, while netting you 28 mpg highway and 19 mpg city. All motor choices shift through a new eight speed automatic transmission, and all Touareg models come with VW’s 4MOTION all wheel drive system. Finally, all engine options are rated to tow up to 7,700 pounds when equipped with the factory installed tow package.

2011 VW Touareg TDI

Several Trim levels are planned, including Sport, Lux, Hybrid and Executive. All include an 8” touchscreen nav and infotainment system, Sirius Satellite Radio, HID headlights, rearview camera, power adjustable and heated front seats and dual zone climate controls. All Touareg models include six airbags, an improved head restraint system, ABS, traction control and electronic stability control. Expect pricing to start at around $41,000 for a 3.6 liter V6 Sport.

What’s the best way to get a man’s attention than a couple of nice pairs of boobs? The video below is a promo for the upcoming Tokol 2010 drifting event, which takes place every year in Tokol, Hungary. The event is the fifth round of the Hungarian Drift Open 2010 street legal drifting competition. But I’m sure that, unless you’re from Hungary, you’re not that interested in the event itself, so I’m gonna shut up and let you enjoy the video, after the jump! Advice: If your girlfriend/wife is around, be careful, she might not believe you’re on a car blog and we don’t want you getting into any trouble

Novo Uno EVO 1.4

Vejam O Resultado De Alguns Testes Do Novo Uno EVO 1.4

The Sporty Cars Of Suzuki Equator RMZ-4 Concept

Suzuki Equator RMZ-4 Concept
Both on- and Maximum towing capacity is 6,500 pounds with the 2WD V-6 Sport Package. Available wheel/tire packages include "rugged-trail" P265/75R16s on 16-inch off-road-style wheels and "long trail" P265/65R17s on 17-inch wheels. Front suspension is steel double-wishbones, and the rear solid axle uses long-travel overslung leaf springs.

Suzuki Equator RMZ-4 Concept
The Equator's long 125.9-inch wheelbase contributes to comfort and stability, while its 206.6-inch overall length (Extended Cab or Crew Cab with standard bed) provides a good balance of maneuverability and utility. Available for serious off-road duty is a comprehensive system with four-wheel active limited-slip traction control, an electronic locking rear differential, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Hill Descent and Hill Hold Control. Transmission choices are a five-speed manual (standard with the four-cylinder only) or a five-speed electronically controlled automatic, with or without available shift-on-the-fly 4WD with an electronically controlled part-time two-speed transfer case. of torque, while an optional 4.0-liter DOHC aluminum block V-6 ups the ante to a more robust 261 hp and 281 lb.-ft.

Suzuki Equator RMZ-4 Concept
Standard engine is a 2.5-liter DOHC four good for 152 hp and 171 lb.-ft. The available Premium, Sport and RMZ-4 packages include cruise control, power mirrors, locks and windows and remote keyless entry, while a Sport package adds eight-speaker-plus-subwoofer Rockford-Fosgate audio with steering wheel controls, a six-CD changer, XM Satellite Radio, an auxiliary input jack, wireless Bluetooth and, on the Crew Cab RMZ-4, even a factory moonroof. Among the handy convenience features are a dual glove box with lock, a center console box with a 12-volt power outlet, additional power points and cupholders and storage for one-liter bottles in the front doors. Extended Cabs and Crew Cabs have a fold-flat front passenger seat and flip-up rear seats with removable storage boxes underneath. The somewhat Spartan interior tries hard to strike a balance between car comfort and truck function.

Suzuki Equator RMZ-4 Concept
Of course, the wide range of available accessories includes specialized bed components for securing and transporting a motorcycle or ATV a relatively simple task. Extended Cab and Crew Cab models offer an available "high-utility" bed with a spray-on bedliner and a cleverly useful tie-down system with adjustable tracks. A set of unique Suzuki styling elements-including the hood, front fenders, grille, bumpers, front fascia and tailgate-differentiate Equators from their Nissan Frontier cousins. Beyond that, very few of today's pickup alternatives are fuel-efficient compact or midsize, and this very competitive new Suzuki Equator line provides another set of excellent choices. It's available for 2009 in Extended and Crew Cab, short- and long-bed and rear- or four-wheel-drive (4WD) variations.

Suzuki Equator RMZ-4 Concept
Suzuki says this new Equator, developed as a joint effort with Nissan North America-and named "4X4 of the Year" by 4-Wheel & Off-Road magazine-offers a well-rounded blend of comfort, style, utility and off-road capability, and we can't argue. Come to think of it, why has Suzuki, known better to most Americans for its motorcycles, ATVs and boat motors than for its cars, brought a new pickup to market at all? truck sales were tanking due to high gas prices? Why has small-but-growing Japanese automaker Suzuki brought a new midsize pickup truck to market just as U.S.

Trendy And Elegant Cars Of Suzuki Kizashi 3 Concept

Suzuki Kizashi 3 Concept
Suzuki is also leaving on the table the possibility of future hybrid and clean diesel versions of the car. Under the bulging hood, the concept adopts a 300 horsepower naturally-aspirated 3.6-liter V-6 that is teamed with a paddle-shift six-speed automatic gearbox and uses an Advanced i-AWD (All-Wheel Drive) system that is the beneficiary of the company’s success in racing. Kizashi is Suzuki’s first glance at the third phase in their ‘Way of Life’ global strategy, which started in 2004 with the launch of the first tagline, which was ‘sportiness’. That’s further emphasized by Kizashi 3’s wide track, muscular stance and, at the very least, the image of upscale performance. The oversized, 21 inch aftermarket wheels add plenty of style, though the huge brake rotors partially hidden behind the spokes communicate an underlying athletic theme Suzuki was seeking.

Suzuki Kizashi 3 Concept

Suzuki Kizashi 3 Concept

Suzuki Kizashi 3 Concept
In attractive silver paint, a somewhat Audi-inspired, large metallic crosshatch grille and a wide and muscular stance, this concept looks to be all business. In Japanese Kizashi translates to something like “foretaste.” With the bold-looking Kizashi 3, the first attempt by Suzuki to take on the midsize car market is a serious look at what the future may hold. The typically economy car producing company already has plans for a Nissan Frontier-based truck and judging by recent marketing ads is attempting to remake the image of their SX4 as a viable Mini alternative. Vince Vaughn quoting aside, Suzuki’s all out offensive into previously unthinkable areas of auto making continues with the third concept in their latest series of prototypes; the 2009 Kizashi 3.
